Configuring Unity on Ubuntu 11.04

Ubuntu 11.04 not bring, at least until the release of latest beta- No tool to configure settings in Unity installed by default.

However, this is easily solved, since many of the graphic aspects of Unity can configure it from your plug in Compiz settings manager.

In this post we will install the Compiz settings manager in Ubuntu 11.04, And other post we will see what we can do to change some options in it.

To make this task only to address the Software Center and in the search box type in ccsm and select to install the application "Advanced Configuration stationery" (In the image, already installed)

In contrast, if we want to do from a terminal, we just have to type
sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager
Once installed, the method you prefer, you can access the settings in ccsm Unity in two ways:

Super key and in the search box tipeamos "ccsm" see an image like this.

By clicking on the Compiz Manager Options we open the application window and select the plugin must Unity, highlighted in the following image.

Another even faster access to the Unity plugin in CCSM is using the key combination Alt+F2 and write "about:config"

By selecting the icon Unity we will go directly to the plugin configuration.

Here are several options you can configure, but we'll see in the following entries.
